3. Real-Time

The Season 6A real-time theme was interesting. It certainly had its merits and was cleverly implemented within the show as several incidents were shown from different perspectives. It was cleverly done, but there was just something not quite right with the execution of it. Back in the day, 24 was a revolution and the real-time aspect worked perfectly. However in The Walking Dead, with such a vast cast and sprawling landscape, it meant that major characters were dropped altogether from episodes, others were shown for a brief moment, and the show became a bit of a mess in reality. It was a good experiment, and nice to see the show trying something different, but the real-time aspect needs to be dropped.
