The Walking Dead Season 6: 5 New Characters You Need To Know

3. More Wolves

Wolves not far€ Teased in season 5, and we met a couple of them - although they remained nameless - the Wolves are set for a much bigger role in the show€™s sixth season. That means we€™re going to be finding out a lot more about them, what they do, why, and also meeting a few more of them as well.

There isn€™t a completely direct parallel to the group in the comics, however it€™s commonly believed they will be some sort of beefed-up version of the DC Scavengers. This makes sense in the timeline, because in the books they show up when Rick shoots Pete, attracted by the sound of gunfire and gather at the gates to Alexandria demanding entry.

They€™re led by a man called Derek, and another sign that they are the Wolves is that when demanding entry to Alexandria he says to Rick: €œLittle pig, little pig...let me in.€

They€™re dealt with fairly swiftly, although the fallout from their appearance has some pretty major repercussions. It€™s quite easy to imagine that the show will simply be taking this group and making them bigger and badder for the TV show, with the name change to avoid some confusion between the contrasting portrayals.

Another possibility is that they are the Saviours, a group of survivors led by Negan, a character who pretty much everyone that follows The Walking Dead in some form has now heard of. Everyone is desperate for the foul-mouthed baseball-bat wielding psychopath to be introduced, and the Wolves being the Saviours would herald that arrival, but it seems like wishful thinking. He will arrive at some stage, but it€™s probably still a little way down the line.
