3. Jessie

Well, they finally did it - Rick and Jessie got a little physical. Sure, it was just a kiss, but it will obviously lead to more, and for the first time since the death of his wife Lori, Rick has a legit love interest on the show. Where things go from here is anyone's guess (since the show doesn't always mimic the graphic novels). It's doubtful that Rick and Jessie's relationship will go smoothly; both are single parents, and the question of acceptance by the kids on both sides can often be an issue when single parents get together - not to mention how new step-siblings get along. Of course, there's nothing saying Rick and Jessie will be that serious - but stringing together any sort of union in a zombie apocalypse can't be easy. Jessie isn't necessarily just a love interest, however: watching her grow as a character, from the wife in denial about her abusive husband to a survivor not only of a horrible marriage but a global calamity as well feels like compelling television. While there might be similarities with Carol, Jessie is well-written enough to make the plotline feel fresh, and is certainly worthy of more screen time.
