The Walking Dead Season 6 Finale: 13 Things Episode 16 Got Horribly Wrong

4. Repetitive Reversing

Roadblock. Standoff. Awkard three-point turn. Reverse. Repeat. It was yet another example of how the buildup could've been tightened significantly. Watching the RV slowly pull backwards out of shot got stale very quickly.

Yes, it was designed to escalate the situation with more Saviours each time, but Rick and the group's attempts to get around the blockades were feeble-to-non-existent. Each situation could've been tense but after the first two roadblocks, it became incredibly tedious.

It was repetitive and generally dull, two adjectives that certainly shouldn't be required when describing an hour-long season finale of an enormous show based on the zombie apocalypse. It was tense knowing Negan was imminent, but not because of anything the finale had done before his arrival.
