The Walking Dead Season 7: 4 Ups & 5 Downs From 'Service'

3. Worlds Collide

Negan Little Pig Walking Dead
AMC

The opening of the episode did a very good job of setting up its main premise; namely, Negan and the Saviours arrive to take what's theirs. Although I struggle to believe that even Spencer is dumb enough to not know who Negan is (well, maybe - he is pretty f**king dumb), the rest of it plays out well.

There's the nice shot of Negan at the gates, lifted from the comics, and then the place is completely overrun by Saviours (who have Daryl along for the ride and some extra emotional torture).

It's a good example of the two worlds colliding; Negan is impressed by the size of Alexandria, and in turn we witness just how large a group the Saviours are, and how hopeless it seems for the Alexandrians.
