The Walking Dead Season 7: 5 Ups And 3 Downs From 'Go Getters'

4. Sasha Goes For Revenge

Sasha was a character that I think the show struggled with for a while. After the deaths of Bob and Tyreese it tried to go down a PTSD route, but I don't think it wholly succeeded in getting that across, and the character wasn't a particularly likeable one.

That gradually started to shift last year, especially as she opened up when spending more time with Abraham. It allowed Sasha to grow, becoming stronger and also more like a natural part of the group. That turnaround continues here, with Sasha the one other person present at the clearing here at the Hilltop with Maggie.

Like Rosita, she's not taking Abraham's death lying down, making her own plans for revenge. It makes some sense, given her relationship with Abe, and you can feel the hatred within her. At the same time she's there as a comfort for Maggie, being someone who knows what she's going through. Sonequa Martin-Green is a solid presence throughout, and Sasha is steadily becoming a more interesting player in this game.
