The Walking Dead Season 7: 7 Ups & 2 Downs From 'The Cell'

5. The Music

Music isn't something you often notice in The Walking Dead. It's rare that the score stands out too much, and even less likely that they'll use songs to accompany the scenes. They used it to good effect last week though, with the choir singing Bob Dylan, and to even greater effect here.

It opens with The Jam, which automatically gets the episode a big plus, because Town Called Malice is never not great. Then there's that strange Easy Street song which plays again and again until you almost don't wanna hear it, but then hey it comes back around and you're sucked back in.

That's all capped off by Roy Orbison's Crying, as Daryl is back in his cell crying and all alone and cryyyyiinnggg. Sure, it's a little on the nose, but it's a fun touch, and different to what we've seen before. The Walking Dead being a little more playful and weird is definitely no bad thing.
