So far pretty much all of Rick's old friends are on-board with fighting back against Negan - indeed, many reached that stage long before he did - but there are two key outliers.

Morgan and Carol may no long be living at Alexandria, but they're still close to Rick and the rest of the group, two well-respected figures and also two of the best fighters among the whole bunch.

Carol has largely withdrawn from life, and in a sweet moment Daryl allowed her to live in ignorance of the true extent of Negan's villainy. Morgan, meanwhile, does know, but it's not enough to change his mind.

However, Daryl's lie just seems like it'll delay the inevitable. Carol will find out about Glenn, Abraham and all the rest, which will cause her to rally round to the cause, once again unleashed as the biggest secret-weapon of the 'good' survivors. And that may well be the one thing that can convince Morgan to fight back too, and perhaps even contribute to Ezekiel and the entire Kingdom joining in.
