The Walking Dead Season 7: 9 Things That Will (Probably) Happen Next

3. And One Of Them Gets Killed

If Carol and Morgan do join the fight against Negan and the Saviours, it'd be a big boon to the chances of the good guys, since they're skilled fighters and even just having them out there would give them a greater belief in themselves.

On the other, sadder hand, however, it also means that we'd be pretty likely to say a permanent farewell to one of them.

The pair are two of the most interesting and well-developed characters on the show (I'd go as far to say Carol is the most well-developed character they've ever had), but their current arcs make for a compelling tragedy.

After refusing to fight, they're reluctantly brought back into the battle, following one another into war, and then dying a truly heroic death - perhaps even saving the other, or one of the people closest to them.

Neither are intrinsic to the plot moving forwards, since they're both mostly separate from the overarching narrative and the main players (read: Rick), nor is it clear where their stories would go if they survived the war. I can't see both being killed, but certainly one of them. It'd be a huge loss, but a captivating story.
