The Walking Dead Season 7: 9 Things That Will (Probably) Happen Next
2. Dwight Betrays Negan
So far Dwight is, by some margin, the most interesting of all the Saviours (and that extends to Negan). He's had lots of screentime, and has been shown to be more than just a follower of Negan, with an inner-hatred of his leader (which is more than justified) and a conflict between doing as he's told and not actually being that bad a guy.
If anyone isn't fully committed to the cause, it's Dwight, and Austin Amelio has shown that he can go beyond just being a standard bad guy and offer something a little deeper and more complex.
A betrayal of Negan has been tentatively hinted at anyway, and that happening towards the end of the season would be a great way of capping off the character's arc for Season 7, as well as adding a solid twist to the narrative.
It's also worth considering the prospect of other betrayals. Rick has made a lot of uneasy alliances, and will be making more. While we can probably trust the Kingdom and Hilltop (once Gregory is removed, anyway), we don't know a lot about the Scavengers or Oceanside. There's a chance people there could always betray Rick to side with the Saviours, going with the obvious power over a man they have no loyalty to.
