The Walking Dead Season 7: Ranking The Probability Of 17 Major Character Deaths

Outside of Rick, Daryl is the biggest character on the show, and perhaps even more beloved than Andrew Lincoln's leader. Is there really any chance they'd kill him off?

There's no doubting the worth of Norman Reedus to the series, and his popularity could be even more essential given viewers have been turning off. To the story, however, Daryl is another matter.

He's a valuable member of Rick's group, a fiercely loyal companion and brave fighter, but also not totally indispensable, especially if the show can build up other characters (like Jesus, for example).

Daryl has already been through the wringer this year, and his escape and survival may mean he's now considered safe. On the other hand, there's a lot of damage been done to him, Negan will want revenge, and his deah fighting against his captors, after he'd seemingly escaped, would be a potentially interesting and effective (if handled correctly) twist. No death (apart from Rick's, which isn't happening) would be as huge and shocking.
