The Walking Dead Season 8: 6 Reasons To Be Excited (& 3 To Be Worried)

3. A Faster Pace

Kind of going hand-in-hand with more action, Season 8 looks like it'll be putting its foot down as war breaks out.

Season 7 moved at a snail's pace (not inherently bad when it leads to real character development, but so much of the season was just filler), and part of the reason for that was it was spinning wheels to get everyone in position for this story to happen in Season 8. Now that the powder keg is in place, the fuse can be lit, and the story can explode into life.

With the conflict against the Saviours a go, there's lots of material for this season's plot to be propulsive, with plenty of momentum to carry it from episode to episode, rather than the stop-start, singular location nature of last year.
