The Walking Dead Season 9: 6 Biggest Reveals From SDCC 2018

2. The Communities Are Finally Living In Peace & Harmony

The Walking Dead Comic Con

The communities on The Walking Dead have been warring with each other for the better part of three seasons now. The settlements were introduced to us gradually throughout Seasons 5, 6 and 7. We initially started with Alexandria, and then the arrival of Jesus brought us to The Hilltop. The Kingdom followed and then, finally, Oceanside. The locations all feuded with one another on multiple occasions, but they ultimately came together to stop Negan one and for all in the Season 8 finale.

After a long three years of fighting, the Season 9 trailer shows the communities living together in peace and harmony. There's even a road sign been erected, showing passers-by which direction to go in to get to each of the settlements.

While they're all getting on now, it'll be interesting to see if Maggie will continue to plot against Rick. The widow was heartbroken by Rick's decision to keep Negan alive (and understandably so, after the evil antagonist killed her husband), so she got together with Daryl and Jesus to presumably teach Rick a lesson. Negan's still alive, so clearly she hasn't made an attempt on his life, but with Angela Kang having taken over as showrunner it'll be interesting to see if Scott Gimple's plot will continue.
