The Walking Dead Season Finale: 10 Ways It Massively Disappointed

8. No Carol & Tyreese

Carol has gone from being one of the most expendable and uninteresting characters to possibly the most compelling person on the entire show. In the beginning she was the meek, battered wife who cowered in fear and rarely spoke. Now she's the stone cold bada** who executes children if they threaten the group's survival. And her evolution has made for interesting viewing. "The Grove" was hands down the best episode of the entire season and arguably the best in the show's history. By adapting one of the more controversial and memorable storylines from the comic, The Walking Dead showed that they're not afraid to push the envelope. I's an episode that will live in infamy for its shocking nature, and the ending, which gave us Carol's confession to Tyreese, was wrought with tension. The two seemed to have reached an uneasy understanding, with Tyreese holding a begrudging respect for Carol and the lengths she was willing to go to to protect the group. So just when the Carol & Tyreese story was gaining momentum and they had given us something to really sink our teeth into, they go two straight episodes without making an appearance. The events of "The Grove" left us wanting more, and we got nothing.
