The X-Files Revival: 10 Things We Learned From The Season Finale

2. In A Mass Epidemic, Only Obscure Websites Will Know The Truth

CNN, NBC News, Fox News, none of them seem to have the scoop Tad O'Malley has on his YouTube... Oops, sorry, MindQuad show, Truth Squad (which, by the way, is a terrible name). Airing throughout the episode, O'Malley gives continual updates on the spread of the plague when even he is suffering from it. And while part of this was no doubt due to budgetary concerns, previous episodes featured clips with (fictional) newscasters. A look at the disease through the eyes of another news source would have added to the overall scale of the outbreak, something that didn't really set in until the final scene of the episode, which featured Scully rushing to Mulder's aid on a jam-packed bridge full of panicked citizens rushing to get out of town. Speaking of which, how she was even able to navigate onto the bridge is beyond belief, but that's a minor quibble in the end.
