That's what made the shortened revival season so appealing in the first place - it was like a summer project, rather than a full year commitment. The big stumbling block, however, is that as the tenth season showed, the producers are unwilling to wrap things up, and just have too many ideas for a paltry six episodes. If their desire is to continue the franchise on for years, this really doesn't allow for fully developed story lines.
