FoxDanger Will Robinson, danger! While a spin-off with new characters would allow for story lines to be expanded, Einstein (Robbie Amell) and Miller (Lauren Ambrose) failed to strike a chord with viewers in season ten. While they were positioned as Mulder and Scully Jr. (believer and skeptic, male and female, handsome leading man and petite redhead scientist), they were such clones, such generic clones, that they were almost parodies of the originals. They weren't even Doggett and Reyes level. Doggett and Reyes were at least interesting. So while this is a possibility, one that was actively considered apparently, with the two being included as a sort of back-door pilot, this is not the way to go. It's an option - just not a very good one.
