Has anyone ever considered giving Walter Skinner his own series? Skinner is one of the most popular supporting characters on the show, outside of The Lone Gunmen. They had their spinoff, which sadly tanked after a handful of episodes and a premiere that involved a plane crashing into the World Trade Center just months before it actually happened. So what about another character? As an Assistant Director at the FBI, Skinner lives in a slightly different world than Mulder and Scully. He's more in-house, and this is where the conspiracy angles and political schemes could be played up. Plus, we really don't know all that much about the man. So there's a wealth of potential material there, especially if you flash back to his Vietnam days. The only problem is that at 63, Mitch Pileggi has a limited window to helm a show, but even a limited series could be entertaining... and Harrison Ford is going back to Indiana Jones one last time, proving you're never really too old.
