Titans Season 1: 3 Ups & 3 Downs From 'Hawk And Dove'

2. Hawk And Dove

Titans Hawk And Dove
Warner Bros.

The second episode of Titans wasted no time throwing us right into the action, as it introduced us to Hawk - a masked vigilante that had been captured by a gang of thugs. With his wicked sense of humour and surprising threshold for pain, he was alluring to say the least - but when he found himself in over his head, he was rescued by the more sensible and effective Dove.

Behind the masks, they were Hank Hill and Dawn Granger - two lovers who once worked with Robin and were desperate to take down a specific group of gun suppliers to end their reign of terror and walk away with some retirement money. Given Hank's physical condition, Dawn was worried that they wouldn't survive their final mission together. Moreover, things got more complicated when her old flame, Dick, turned up at her door with Raven.

From their comic-accurate costumes to their deeply personal arc, Hank and Dawn were pleasant additions to the show, and in a single episode, it felt like we knew more about them than two of the show's main characters (more on that later). Their history with Dick made them integral to the main narrative while their own issues and struggles ensured that they were well-rounded and overall, incredibly compelling characters - especially Dawn.
