1.The Dynamic Between Dick And Raven

Though Hawk and Dove received much of the focus throughout the episode, this didn't detract from Raven's storyline and her intriguing relationship with Dick. In this episode, it suddenly became clearer that these two were more alike than anyone thought. As Dick also suffered significant losses at such a young age, he understood what she was going through and, as Raven could practically read his thoughts, she felt connected to him.

However, this week's outing tested their relationship rather well. Dick's inability to really get through to her stemmed from an inner darkness that he was desperate to suppress. As a result, he was going to leave her with Dawn and Hank for her own good. However, when Raven discovered this she was heartbroken, as the one person who understood her was already willing to turn his back and walk away.

Unfortunately, Dick couldn't convince her otherwise before she was kidnapped by The Nuclear Family.

This has left things in a rather intriguing place as Dick is undoubtedly going to do whatever it takes to rescue her from them and, in effect, prove to her that he is willing to fight to keep her safe. If he successfully manages to do channel his own inner darkness, he may just overcome it and, in doing so, help Raven overcome her own.
