Titans Season 1: 4 Ups & 0 Downs From 'Jason Todd'

1. Jason Todd

Without a doubt, the best thing about the latest episode of Titans was the inspiration for its name. Jason Todd's debut sent shockwaves through the show as it wasn't just the character's first ever live-action appearance, it was also the biggest connection to Batman that Titans has made yet.

Showing up to inform Dick about the fates of his childhood friends, it soon became apparent that Jason was a completely different type of Bird Boy. With his quick-witted speech and incredibly friendly approach, he showcased his passion for fighting crime and working alongside The Dark Knight. Though his reasoning was a little questionable, he loved being Robin - a complete contrast to his predecessor... or at least we thought he was.

By the end of the episode, Jason was viciously assaulting police officers and venomously swearing at Dick as he recalled his hard life on the streets and violent history with the GCPD.

The thing that is so great about the introduction of Jason Todd is his comic-accuracy. From his defiant behaviour to his dark beginnings the writers have paid the ultimate tribute to the post-Crisis iteration of the character. Moreover, with an exhilarating performance, Curran Walters does a phenomenal job of bringing Todd to life for the very first time on screen.
