Titans Season 1: 4 Ups & 0 Downs From 'Jason Todd'

2. Robin No More?

Titans Robin Together
Warner Bros.

Since Titans began, Dick found himself reluctant to don his Robin costume. Aware of the monster he became, he gave up his crime-fighting life and became a detective instead. Despite this, he carried the costume around in a briefcase for a year and, when things got heated, the Boy Wonder returned.

While this week's instalment gave us some answers to the mystery surrounding his split from Batman, it also allowed us to get a closer look at what was actually going on in Dick's mind. After all, it was clear that he wasn't just shocked by the arrival of the second Robin, he was offended that Batman had replaced him. But it wasn't just about the fact that his mentor had "recast" him - it meant that he wasn't the official Robin anymore and that didn't sit right with him.

After being challenged about his identity issues, he realised that his successor was heading down a similar dark path. This led to him officially denouncing the Robin identity when he declared that he wasn't bringing any Robins back with him.

As many originally thought Nightwing was going to be a part of Titans, it was a shock to see that Dick was wearing the Robin attire in all the promo shots. However, it appears like Nightwing may be in his future after all. This is undoubtedly another important step in his journey towards becoming the leader of the Titans, but have we seen the last of his Robin?
