Titans Season 1 Finale: 7 Major Questions We’re Left With After 'Dick Grayson'

4. Will We Finally See Nightwing In Season 2?

Back when Titans was initially in development, we all thought that we would be seeing an adult Dick Grayson lead the team of heroes under the guise of Nightwing. However, following the show's original scrapping by TNT and subsequent revival by the DC Universe, it was revealed that, when the show begins, he would still be Robin.

Upon seeing the first few episodes, it was clear to us that, while he wore the costume, Dick was no longer the Boy Wonder and had instead become a violent avenger of his own making. The introduction of second Robin, Jason Todd, also supported this - alienating him further from the hero that he once was.

When Dick officially let go of his Robin persona by burning the suit, we all knew what awaited him - and hoped that we might see Nightwing debut before the end of the season. However, despite showing a desire to be something different to the world, he had yet to figure out what that was, and now his recent trip to the dark side has pushed that possibility back even further.

So, provided he manages to defeat his inner darkness, it's likely that we could be seeing him take up his very own mantle sometimes during the show's second season. It would certainly make sense from a storyline standpoint, allowing him to find a new way to channel his anger while giving all of us comic book fans the moment we have been waiting for.
