Titans Season 1 Finale: 7 Major Questions We’re Left With After 'Dick Grayson'

Now that Trigon has Rachel, Dick and Gar in his possession, its clear that the Titans are going to need some huge backup to overcome those odds and, well, they may have just found it.

The finale may have ended on a rather sombre note, with Dick's defection to the dark side, but that didn't stop the writers from gifting us with a neat little post-credits scene to put a smile on our faces.

The scene reveals a naked assailant sporting a Superman tattoo breaking out of a Cadmus facility before freeing a dog (whose eyes glowed red, by the way) that was seemingly imprisoned in a Kryptonite-laced cell. Now, it doesn't take a comic book genius to figure out that this was clearly Superboy and Krypto.

Both are iconic staples of the Superman lore and, after a season full of Batman references, it might be nice to see some references to the Man of Steel's collection of characters. However, we have to wonder what kind of roles Superboy and Krypto will play.

It's likely that they'll be involved in their own storyline before crossing paths with the other heroes. After all, Season 1 devoted quite a lot of time to outside characters like Hawk, Dove and Donna Troy to help us get to know them better, so we should expect the same here. But it's undeniable that they would be major allies in the fight against Trigon, so let's hope that they don't take too long before joining the team.
