Titans Season 2: 5 Ups & 1 Down From ‘Ghosts’
2. Jason Todd's Time To Shine
Having already provided us with a number of memorable moments throughout his original recurring run, Jason Todd/Robin finally got some long overdue time to shine in this week's episode, as his pent-up frustration over the fact that Batman reassigned him and the subtle issues with his team-mates boiled over. As a result, you could feel every bit of tension leading up to his showdown with Dick and subsequent fist-fight with Dr. Light.
There is just something about the way that Curran Walters plays Jason that makes it impossible to hate the character. It's true: whether Jason is moody, arrogant, unusually needy or reckless (or all of the above), you can't help but root for him - and that's simply because he is undeniably the Jason Todd we know and love from the comics.
Going rogue is such a Jason thing to do and now he'll have to face the consequences of his actions (in the form of Deathstroke). That said, it was nothing short of exhilarating to see him rebel and, in doing so, accomplish the two things that original Titans couldn't do: Find Dr. Light and Deathstroke.
Walters is killing it and more Jason is always a good thing. Let's just hope that, in spite of Robin 2.0.'s unknown fate in the episode's shocking conclusion, we see plenty more of him in the future.
