Titans Season 2: 6 Things That Have To Happen

5. Allow For Some Light-Heartedness

When the first trailer for Titans released, it teased a mega-grim experience where everyone involved would deal with their own roller coaster of emotions and bad times. Ultimately, that wasn't exactly entirely far off from reality, but it was thankfully far less forced-feeling than the trailer made it seem. However, it does feel like that tone does get a bit overbearing, particularly with the previously-mentioned muted personalities of the characters.

The show's dark tone feels suitable due to the subject matter, but this next season should open up opportunities for some extra pleasant, light-hearted scenes every so often. The Doom Patrol episode represents how well the show's central tone mixed with a light amount of humor can work wonders. These actors and characters are meant to have charm, so it's important that they show it.

In addition, more little moments of levity and joy could add to the stakes and make those more tragic moments even more effective. The despair would be greater and the entertainment value would only improve.
