Titans Season 2: 6 Things That Have To Happen

4. Reduce The Amount Of Standalone Episodes

The Hawk and Dove episodes (along with the Jason Todd one and season finale) were all strong inclusions to the season but ultimately felt like they disrupted the flow of the season. Regardless of their quality, they mostly ended up feeling like the showrunners setting up spinoffs rather than serving any overarching storyline.

Jason Todd offered a peek into Robin's true feelings towards Batman, but the season finale did roughly the same thing. Hawk and Dove received central focus two times in the season, something not even the actual members of the Titans received. Ultimately, it ended up feeling like an incomplete season because of multiple subplots involving characters that will inevitably get a spinoff or are possibly getting one.

Introduce new characters and plot threads, but don't do it in a way that feels like it pauses the natural progression of the main storyline. The show should be focused on the Titans and them primarily, always. Open the door to these separate sides of the world (because they're interesting and add variety), but dedicate the most screentime to the titular team.
