Titans Season 2 Finale: 6 Ups & 5 Downs From ‘Nightwing’
4. Impressive Visuals
The fact that the finale prioritised the less personal (and by extension less interesting) Cadmus storyline may have been problematic, but you can't say it didn't bless us with some astounding visuals. Truth be told, the majority of the episode was easy on the eye, as the fairground setting provided it with a colourful (and youthful) aesthetic that just gave it more of a 'superhero' vibe - something Titans has been in desperate need of.
But it wasn't just the setting that benefited 'Nightwing', as the team's battle with Connor yielded plenty of great sights, including Superboy's initial battle against Gar's Tiger and Rachel's dark clouds of, well, darkness. On that note, the CGI felt like it had significantly improved from where it was at the beginning of the season, with the tiger being a standout as it actually looked like it was physically in the scene this time.
The finale may have somewhat missed the mark in the story department, but it was nonetheless a beautiful watch.
