Top 50 Iconic TV Characters of the 90s

45. Frasier Crane - Frasier

fraiser Frasier was an incredibly well written show that featured the main character Dr. Frasier Crane who lived in Seattle and was the host of his own radio show. He was a smart, witty, intelligent psychiatrist with a lot to say. The show was pretty groundbreaking for it's time and lasted 11 seasons in all. Dr. Frasier Crane is the type of character you'd love to get into a debate with even though you knew he'd win going into it. Kelsey Grammer's Frasier character is still well known today and probably will continue to be for years to come.

44. Regis Philbin - Who Want to be a Millionaire

6a00d8341c630a53ef016766b83e7c970b-600wi Now Regis for all intents and purposes is pretty much a jackass. However, EVERYBODY watched Who Wants to Be a Millionaire when it originally aired in 1999. Regis was just smart enough to be the first one to host the show. The entire concept of the show is based on answering questions, eventually leading up to the possibility of winning a million dollars. Not many people did but everyone thought they would, including us at home who were yelling at the TV calling people idiots and morons for not knowing the right answers. Regis played the host role well, chiming in when he needed to and helping convince people to quit when he knew they should. Sounds like a pretty simple and awesome gig to me. I guess I shouldn't say that Regis is a total jackass. After all he's now retired probably counting his millions while I sit here eating cheez-its writing this article. Looks like you win this round Philbin. Shout out to Cheez-Its!

43. Kevin Arnold - The Wonder Years

wonder-years Kevin was an all around nice guy who had a best friend named Paul and a long time crush Winnie Cooper. Now Kevin could've made this list just on his great taste in women alone but he also makes it because The Wonder Years was just an awesome show. It's centered around his life dealing with friends, girls, family (featuring his asshole big brother) and the day to day things that a kid goes through. The show was perfect for it's time and incredibly relatable for a teenager who watched it growing up, myself included.

42. Tony Micelli - Who's the Boss?

whos-the-boss-cast Tony Danza played Tony Micelli, a live in housekeeper on the show Who's the Boss? He was known for always smiling, having a good time and fighting with his boss Angela. The show made Tony Danza a household name in the 90's and made his daughter on the show Samantha (Alyssa Millano) a household name today. The character Tony will always be remembered as a joyful, playful one who always seemed to have a good time. Tony was never 'the boss' in the show but it's ok, he knew it. P.S. If you're reading this (she's a big fan of mine) I love you Alyssa Millano.

41. Blossom

tumblr_m8cxhmk5cD1rpntveo1_500 The show centered around teenage girl Blossom Russo. Blossom is faced with a lot of challenges growing up, via her mom leaving the family or her brother Tony's drug and alcohol problem or just having to deal with her idiotic brother Joey. Forced to grow up fast, she's a smart teenage girl with really only one friend, Six. Six is her fast talking loudmouth friend who often finds herself at Blossom's mercy seeking advice. The show had some very real moments when it came to dealing with sex, drugs and alcohol but through it all Blossom some how made it through. "WHOA!"
