Shelly Johnson and James Hurley’s sheepish exchange across the room of The Bang Bang Bar is exactly what our nostalgic dreams are made of, and we’re totally living for it.

For all of the horror, misery, and violence that the residents of Twin Peaks have faced over the years, we’re reminded that there are still kind-hearted people roaming about the quaint north-western town, living their lives in the best way they can.

During this feel-good final scene, the Chromatics take to the stage to perform their ethereal track ‘Shadow’, a performance very reminiscent of Julee Cruise’s evocative shows in the original series.

"James is still cool," Shelly assures her drinking buddies, who all seem to think there’s something odd about him ever since his motorcycle accident. "He's always been cool."

Be still, our shipper hearts. <3
