Umbrella Academy: 14 Standout Moments From Season 1

After Vanya's devastation of The Umbrella Academy home, the rest of the team regroup at a local bowling alley to try and figure out how they're going to stop their sister from destroying the world. They conveniently find an advert in the newspaper showing that she'll be performing that night, but before they can go off and have the final showdown they're ambushed by a heavily-armed group of time cops whose sole mission is to leave every living thing in the alley riddled with bullets.

The Umbrella Academy does an exceptional job of skirting between humour and tragedy and this is perfect example of that. There's a lot of the quick and snappy barbs that make the show enjoyable, mixed up with some exceptional cinematography during the shootout. Also, who hasn't been tempted to slide down a bowling lane and crash into the pins at least once?

After watching the family feud reach a boiling point, it was good to get some light-hearted action to ease the mood before the inevitably emotional final fight between the team and Vanya.
