Who They Are: The Civil War veteran turned interplanetary adventurer, John Carter was adapted into a 2012 film from Disney, which was something of a box-office disaster. Unfortunate, as it was an incredibly entertaining and exciting film that felt like a throwback to the adventure films of yesteryear. That said, it might be difficult to convince the execs to give John Carter another chance on television, but that doesn't mean it isn't the best idea of all time, either. John Carter making his way to Once in season four would be nothing short of extraordinary, as he would bring an amazing sense of scale to the series. His whole mythology, created by Edgar Rice Burroughs, is enormous. It's filled with amazing characters and rich intrigue, along with a stellar sense of adventure. Uniting John Carter with the Once universe might be difficult, as his mythology is a bit more complicated than being simply a fairy tale character. Perhaps Mars is simply the name of another realm we don't yet know of, one which the characters could find themselves trapped in alongside Carter. The possibilities are endless. Who Should Play Them:

Joe Manganiello is a man who often has his name bounced around for several high-profile characters, not the least of which was Batman in the upcoming Zack Snyder film. Though Ben Affleck was finally chosen, a large number of fans supported Manganiello for the role. He's a beast of a man, looking like a living portrait of Atlas at times. His physique is insane, yet he doesn't have the silly, overkill body builder look. Manganiello would be aces as John Carter, packing both the look and the appropriate tough guy with a good heart acting chops.
