2. Maintain The Main Cast
This seems like an obvious thing but we wouldn't put it above the creator and producers of recasting the entire show and giving us a new set of characters to work with as they find themselves targeted by Corvadt. But regardless, we want the boys and girls of
Utopia back and for us to find them on their respective journeys, eventually culminating in a mid-season reuniting and plenty of the same great performances we've seen all season. The fact that the finale left things so open for each character is a blessing - if the show doesn't get renewed, then it could theoretically act as a finale, but there's so much potential and unresolved stuff, it wouldn't satisfy at all. Point in fact, the final moments which provide some real knee-jerk cliffhangers as we see our previously united heroes apart and broken. To be honest, I'd be happy not seeing Dugdale and Alice again - they find a family in each other and a kind-of happy ending for these two, now that they're out of the line of fire and not directly involved with anything, would be pretty nice. I personally would love to see the action jump forward a few months to find Ian and Grant searching for Becky and tracking her down while she tries to keep her illness at bay, Jessica being manipulated at the hands of the villainous Network, Arby delving into his sociopathic self to find something good in there and for a special someone to return from the brink of death...
