6. Ragnar Was An Underwear Model
Travis Fimmel, who plays Ragnar Lothbrok on Vikings, was not only an underwear model, he was THE underwear model of the 1990's - modelling Calvin Klein jockeys on billboards the world over. One particular billboard of a young and pretty Fimmel in his undies was said to be the cause of a few minor accidents in London, because it distracted female drivers.
Fimmel shot to fame, became TV's Tarzan for a while and even had a character on Sex and the City based around him. He even became the first male model in the world to secure a six-figure deal with Calvin Klein. "It was a Monday morning when I arrived (at the agency)," he told Metro back in 2009. "I went into the agency with no shoes on and just said: 'Hey.' They just picked me up straight away. They got me a flat, rented me a car and really looked after me."
Then it seemed like he dissappeared for a while... only to reappear on Vikings as a completely different man. Mature, bearded and the epitome of modern-day lumbersexuality.
