The Walking Dead: 10 Best New Characters From Season 4

6. Eugene Porter

The strange, mysterious, yet humorous Eugene was first introduced in the back half of Season 4. And he's already had some memorable moments. Eugene claims that he is on a mission to Washington to "save the world". But is he really genuine? He doesn't come across as the type of guy who's...intelligent. He uses big words, and rambles on a lot, but would you put the fate of humanity in his hands to save the world? Absolutely not. He never comes across as somebody who would survive the apocalypse. For a start, he has no clue how to shoot a gun accurately. Surely Abraham would have taught him something? Nevertheless, his clumsiness led to a great scene in "Claimed". And that, for me, is what his character is about right now. He is the comedy character of the show. In a series that is unbelievably dark and morbid, Eugene at least gives us something to chuckle about. Do I see Eugene as a character who will last the entirety of Season 5? It depends. If they head up to Washington DC once the Terminus situation is resolved, then perhaps he'll stick around. One thing is for sure, he's very interesting, and there is so much we could learn about his character, and whether or not he is telling the truth. Could Eugene really save the world?
