The Walking Dead: 10 Best New Characters From Season 4

3. Tara Chambler

Like her sister Lilly, we first meet Tara in the first of the season 4 Governor-only episodes. And as soon as she was introduced, she was instantly likeable. She was caring for her family, but also had a tough side to her. And the amount of guilt she carried after helping the attack on the prison was eating her up inside, despite the fact she didn't actually kill anybody there. The way she helped Glenn find Maggie throughout the second half of season 4 was admirable. She stuck by his side the entire time, she always defended him, and even when she was trapped and we all thought she was going to die, she was screaming at Glenn to leave her. Fortunately, they were saved just in the nick of time. It showed just how much Tara cares for the people around her, even those she's only known for a very short time. And Glenn repaid the favour by lying to Maggie, instead of telling her that Tara was part of the group that killed her Dad. A great character who will hopefully stick around for a while, especially now since Alanna Masterson has been promoted to a Series 5 regular. We look forward to seeing more from her.
