The Walking Dead: 10 Exciting Improvements We All Want To See Happen

3. An Indication That The World Doesn't Begin And End in Georgia

The television show has made pretty significant strides in the area of being its own entity. While the comic has been doing its thing for a decade - and doing it incredibly well, by all accounts - the show has worked hard to create its own universe with its own rules and its own trajectory for the characters. This investment in its own world building would be invaluable if the writers and producers decided to do something radical: show viewers that their world is bigger than Georgia. Georgia is a nice place: it's scenic, it's a great backdrop for the show, and it's been very good to the first four seasons overall -but what about the rest of the world? What does the zombie apocalypse look like in Kansas or New York or Vancouver or Brisbane? Some of these answers are sure to come in the spin-off that's coming, but that might very well be overkill. Seeing things spread beyond the greater Atlanta area with the survivors we know (or even some we don't - more on that in a second) would give the show a new scope and a great shot in the arm.
