The Walking Dead: 11 Actors In Surprising Early Roles
11. Lennie James (Morgan Jones) Snatch
One of the extensive list of British actors on AMCs hit show, Lennie James may have only appeared on two episodes in the four-series of The Walking Dead so far, but his character Morgan had such an impact in his two appearances that he is still widely considered to be a significant character. When we first saw him, Morgan seemed a relatively normal fellow, understandably struggling to transition from civilised life to surviving in the zombie-apocalypse. When we next see him, his son, Dwayne, has turned and Morgan has undergone an equally severe transformation into an unhinged, armed-to-the-teeth loner. He seemed to be at his breaking point when we last saw him in season three, not wanting to leave his gratuitously fortified compound in King County for fear that he would have to see others die. We hope that if Morgan encounters the group again, he will have managed to steady his psyche. The character Lennie James plays in Snatch named Sol could probably survive if zombies were to take over London. Though he is one of the city's least successful gangsters, he has a pragmatic mind which would serve him well against the flesh-eating hordes. One of the most quoted lines from Guy Ritches crime-comedy classic is Sols horrified reaction when his partner Vincent pulls out a ridiculously large gun:
Whats that? Its a Shotgun, Sol Its a f$*king anti-aircraft gun, Vincent
That anti-aircraft gun wouldve come in VERY useful when you became Morgan, Lennie!
