The Walking Dead: 11 Actors In Surprising Early Roles
8. Laurie Holden (Andrea) Silent Hill
Andrea is perhaps one of the most frustrating characters in the TV show and beloved characters in the comics, an watching her metamorphosis from scared law firm clerk to kick-ass Lara Croft-tribute is one of the most satisfying to watch in the whole show, arguably surpassed only by that of Carol. However, the Andrea of AMC's Walking Dead was frustratingly incapable of doing the maths and realising that the man she was sleeping with was a power-hungry psycho, even after her pal Michonne pleaded with her to realise that something was awry. Her horrible judge of character finally caught up to Andrea at the end of season three when The Governor put his ex-lover's fate in the hands of an undead Milton, which clearly wasn't ever going to end well for her. Prior to the show, Laurie Holden had quite a few notable acting roles in films like The Mist and The Fantastic Four while also having a recurring role on The X Files, but her turn in Silent Hill, based on the legendary survival-horror game, was particularly memorable. A short-haired Holden plays Cybil Bennet, a police officer in the town of Silent Hill who is decidedly less oblivious than her later character Andrea. Cybil accompanies the protagonist, Rose, in her fight through the hellish streets of Silent Hill to find her daughter. Despite being rather less gullible thant Andrea, Cybil is captured by cultists and burned alive, which probably made a bite from Milton a walk in the park.
