2. Michonne's Free-For-All ("Home")
Over at the prison, Michonne spends most of "Home" hanging out in an abandoned bus in the prison yard, crazypants Rick having not yet decided whether or not to kick her out. When the Governor and his men attack the prison, firing automatic rifles and loosing a van full of Walkers into the yard, Michonne is not in a very good position. Between the hungry Walkers and the gunfire that prevents her from finding safe cover, her survival isn't exactly a sure thing. Instead of dying, however, Michonne unsheathes her katana and goes on a Walker-killing rampage, decapitating one zombie after another as she runs to legless Hershel's aid.
Why It's Great: Michonne makes zombie-killing look fun. In this episode, she lunges around in the grass, chopping Walkers and racing at great risk to herself to rescue a member of a group that has hardly been welcoming to her. Honestly, with the way they'd treated her, it's almost surprising that Glenn assented to rescuing her along with Hershel. Still, she's just so competent that she's one of the few people at the prison who could believably survive on her own in the zombie apocalypse. Or, you know, one of the two people. Her free-for-all in "Home" demonstrated that the prison team could really use her on their side.
