The Walking Dead: 15 Stupid Decisions Lori Grimes Would Be Proud Of
7. Andrea Stays With The Governor, Part Deux ("Made To Suffer")
Andrea's decision to stay with the Governor rather than to depart with Michonne was understandable. Dreadful, but understandable. How many of us would really want to leave the prospect of safety and stability for life of probable death on the road? We could excuse her for the first time that she stayed in Woodbury. The second time? Not so much. In "Made To Suffer," we see Andrea finally become exposed to some of the crazy that had alienated Michonne as she walks into the back room of the Governor's apartment to find him clutching his zombified daughter. He sobs and leans back against an entire wall of aquariums, each of which contains three or four still-moving Walker heads. Michonne is standing over him, bloody and beaten, preparing to decapitate him with her sword. Whoo! Sadly, Andrea dashes the hopes of every viewer as she pulls a gun on an appalled Michonne, who leaves. Then, instead of running after Michonne to escape the clutches of the lunatic with the secret lair of disembodied heads, Andrea kneels down next to the Governor nearly in tears and attempts to embrace him. It's pretty gross. Of course, it's entirely possible that I'm not giving Andrea enough credit. She has been sleeping with the Governor for, like, four whole days now. If that's not reason enough to not be curious about her best friend's motives for trying to kill him, I don't know what is.
Fiction buff and writer. If it's on Netflix, it's probably in my queue. I've bought DVDs for the special features and usually claim that the book is better than the movie or show (and can provide examples). I've never met a TV show that I won't marathon. Follow on Twitter @lah9891 .
