The Walking Dead: 15 Stupid Decisions Lori Grimes Would Be Proud Of
8. Andrea Stays With The Governor ("Say The Word")
Lori may be the character that holds the title for making the most stupid decisions during her time on the show, but Andrea certainly made a run for it in Season 3. In her defense, Woodbury did seem pretty great at first. Her life was saved by the infirmary. There was running water and fresh food. There was even fresh clothing, although Andrea was apparently only allotted the undergarments most ill-suited to life in the zombie apocalypse. The entire neighborhood was surrounded by strong walls and armed men. The leader was cloyingly friendly, and Andrea practically swooned at the welcome. We did not. Granted, we were privy to more information about the Governor than was Andrea, but there were still plenty of warning signs that ought to have tipped her off. This was a man who had taken Merle Dixon as his lieutenant, confiscated their weapons, tried to woo them with creature comforts, and--pardon the strong language--he totally gave Michonne the willies. So, when Andrea allowed Michonne--who had rescued her from Walkers, watched her back through months on the run, and took care of her when she took ill--to leave Woodbury alone, it was hard not to yell at her through the screen. After all, Michonne had not survived on her own in the zombie apocalypse by having bad survival instincts. And this was only the beginning.
Fiction buff and writer. If it's on Netflix, it's probably in my queue. I've bought DVDs for the special features and usually claim that the book is better than the movie or show (and can provide examples). I've never met a TV show that I won't marathon. Follow on Twitter @lah9891 .
