The Walking Dead: 15 Stupid Decisions Lori Grimes Would Be Proud Of

14. Andrea Shoots Daryl ("Chupacabra")

Once Daryl finally staggers back to the farm, surely all that he wants to do is sit down and show off his awesome new ear necklace. Instead, as he emerges from the woods, Andrea €“ on watch atop Dale's RV €“ spots him and yells that she sees a Walker. She wants to shoot it from her spot on the RV, but Rick tells her not to fire. He races out into the field with Shane, Glenn, and T-Dog as his backup. Nevertheless, Andrea decides that she'll just fire anyway. When she see the Walker go down through the scope, she is very pleased with herself...until she hears Rick screaming "No!" in the distance. Uh-oh. To Andrea's credit, the bloody and stumbling Daryl did look like a Walker from across the field. Rick and the others didn't recognize him until they were a few feet away. It was an understandable mistake to make. Sadly, that's all the credit that she gets. With dwindling ammunition and four able-bodied men approaching to put the presumed Walker down, Andrea never should have taken the shot. With four men approaching to put it down silently, Andrea never should have taken the shot. With very little experience with the rifle, the sun in her eyes, and four men in the immediate vicinity, Andrea really never should have taken the shot. Furthermore, as awful as it would have been if she had actually killed Daryl, she wouldn't have even put the Walker down with a successful headshot. basically, just to clarify, she shouldn't have taken the shot.
