The Walking Dead 5.6 Review - 5 Talking Points From Consumed

4. The First Meeting With Noah

As the pair are making their way through a building in downtown Atlanta to complete their reconnaissance on Grady Hospital, Daryl and Carol run into the recently escaped Noah, limping and alone without weapons. He gets the drop on them when they crawl through a chained doorway and takes their rifle and beloved crossbow. As he cuts open the tents in the hallway to release the walkers, Carol goes to take a shot at him with her pistol but Daryl knocks her hand away so she misses the shot. We all know Carol doesn't abide such nonsense and Noah is lucky Daryl was there or he'd be a dead man. Carol pleaded her case to Daryl, ensuring him that she only meant to wound Noah in the leg (doubtful, since she's an unstoppable killing machine) but nevertheless he escapes with their hardware while they're defending themselves from the camping corpses. Noah is an awful character and it would have been nice if he had just been shot in the back and been done with, but we needed him to be the bridge that connects them to Beth. Hopefully he dies in the ensuing battle between the two groups and we move on from this entire thread.
