While not all comic book movies and TV shows are direct adaptations of certain storylines and arcs from the source material, there is always inspiration taken from the comic book pages. After reports of WandaVision taking some inspiration from John Byrne's Vision Quest arc, fans have started to piece together what they think may happen.

The story from 1989 saw Vision disappear, ultimately being kidnapped and dismantled by a villainous group called Vigilance. Wanda then takes on the quest to find her love, fix him, and bring him back to the world. Unfortunately, this results in the android losing all previous memories, drained of all colour, with a completely clean slate.

From the trailer it's quite easy to how this could tie into the series. Since she does have some essence of the Mind Stone within her, Wanda could track down Vision's body to try and reanimate him in some way.

Naturally, this would go wrong, with Vision losing track of what happened to him, leading Wanda to create this new life for them where they are the perfect couple, and Thanos never happened. This is why he is unaware that he is dead, with the world shattering news likely to lead to the downfall of Wanda's fantasy.
