WandaVision: 10 Insane Fan Theories You Need To Know

3. Magneto's MCU Debut

WandaVision Twins
Marvel Comics

This is something that fans of the MCU have been hopeful for ever since Wanda made her debut in the franchise, even before Marvel Studios acquired the rights to the X-Men and it seemed impossible. In the comics, Scarlet Witch's true father is Magneto, and with both characters now under the same umbrella, the connection could finally be made on screen.

The first hurdle for this theory is that Wanda and Pietro have already been given a backstory within the confines of the MCU that did not involve Magneto at all. The twins had a normal upbringing in Sokovia, before their parents were killed in a bombing and they were taken by Von Strucker to be given powers by the Mind Stone.

However, there is nothing to say that these parents were their biological mother and father. If Magneto felt himself unable to look after twins, he could have abandoned them, and instead of Loki's sceptre giving them brand new powers, it could simply have awakened the dormant abilities that the mutant children didn't know they had.

Alternatively, if Marvel Studios decide not to retcon Wanda's origin story, they could use the multiverse to bring Magneto into the MCU as her father. This could also bring in Evan Peters as Wanda's brother as has been rumoured, giving the mutants another avenue into the franchise.
