WandaVision: 9 Huge Questions After Episode 6

1. Is Pietro Really Pietro?

WandaVision Pietro
Marvel Studios

Starting with the fact that Pietro has been dead for almost a decade in terms of the MCU timeline, and the fact that he looks absolutely nothing like he used to, there are so many reasons to doubt that this is actually Pietro.

When he tried to reminisce about his and Wanda's upbringing she had a completely different recollection, he dodged the question about a friend from their childhood, and this may be slightly overanalysing, but when he tried to convince Wanda that she could trust him by telling her he wasn't a stranger and he wasn't her husband, he stopped short of saying he was her brother.

It's one thing for Wanda to resurrect Vision, but she was as surprised as anyone to see her 'brother' turn up. Could he actually be someone else simply posing as Quicksilver? The way he seemingly quizzed Wanda on how she managed to do all this suggested that he was digging for information, and with fan theories believing he could be someone as villainous as Mephisto, it's easy to believe that he may not be who he says he is.

On the other hand however, Peters' character has shown hints of evidence that he is in fact Pietro. The sitcom-esque veil dropped for a split second and Wanda saw his bullet-riddled corpse in a similar fashion to how she saw Vision's true form in episode four, and he does have the trademark super speed that Wanda's brother had. There truly is no way of knowing who this character actually is outside of Westview right now.
