WandaVision: Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

9. Director Hayward

In a strange way, there was no one true villain of WandaVision. Wanda herself may have imprisoned an entire town, and Agatha tried to extract and collect Wanda’s power for herself, but it would be tough to call either one the outright villain of the piece.

SWORD Director Tyler Hayward, though still not on the level of main antagonist, was certainly one of the bad guys. From start to finish he was a grade A a*shole, and finally got his comeuppance when Darcy smashed into the side of his car.

Straight away, it was established that Hayward wasn’t really SWORD’s first pick for Director, and that he was only promoted because Monica had been blipped away. From then he was condescending to Monica, as well as Jimmy and Darcy, he lied to his own team while trying to make Wanda out to be the villain, and he did his very best to manipulate her into bringing Vision back.

It seemed as though Hayward was desperate for a win as SWORD Director, and in spite of the fact that it was expressly against the Sokovia Accords and the synthezoid’s will, he thought this would come by reviving Vision. He was a hateful character, and likely won’t be seen again in the MCU.
