WandaVision: What Is The Hex REALLY?

3. A Symbol

WandaVision Hexagon

There are times when we witness the hexagonal shape constructed from the six corners, rather than the lines. We see this with Hayward’s certificated, as mentioned before, alongside many other places. In fact, most places within Wanda’s reality are littered with this sign.

For example, within the starting animation of episode two, we witness Wanda and Vision fly around, what we presume to be a moon surrounded by six stars. But more crucially, I believe, is the larger hexagon which surrounds it. A few inches away of each star is another, secondary, star. However, the bottom one is missing. I believe this larger hexagonal, with a piece missing, is significant to what is going to happen to Wanda and this new reality, and the uncovering of a true villain.

This same effect has been seen within the clocks hidden within the series. Take for example the clock in the same animation, as Vision is stood at the water cooler. The six points are there, but the bottom one is blacked out, as if missing. Or perhaps it is blacked out as having lost its colour; in the same way a star could become a black hole, this final piece has died. There's also the possibility creators are trying to tell us that Wanda’s reality is stuck in time, as we already know that time is different to between the Westview and outer reality.

However, a more sinister theory may be that this final piece represents something darker. If you watch the animation of Vision’s body when he swallows the gum, we witness what looks to be an atom symbol in replace of his heart. This atom, like a heart, pulses, meaning that we can see the symbol with the bottom point missing for some time.

The creators could be alluding to something missing within Vision – perhaps his memories from before this series. Either that or possibly that this another sign of something wrong - that the hex has, in some way, a fault or flaw within it.
