WandaVision: What Is The Hex REALLY?
1. Other Times The Hexagon Appears
As mentioned before, Wanda and her reality is littered with this hexagonal, six-pointed shape. Some appear less sinister, as if just a stylistic choice, such as on the glasses of the lady frozen in time within the cul-de-sac of episode six. However, a lot of them are placed as if oppressive or dangerous.
The roof of the pavilion in the centre of town is an example of this. This is where Wanda and Vision perform their magic act in episode two, as well as spend quality family time during the introduction of episode five. This gives the sense of being watched, that the pavilion is representative of such a hexagon overlooking Wanda and her family.
It would be important to note that we have seen similar hexagons within the MCU before as people pass between time and space – for example when Yondu goes through jump points in Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Perhaps, like honeycomb, alterative realities are forming within these hexagonal shapes, running parallel with the other.
It is also important to note that when Monica is Geraldine, she is wearing earrings which look to be hexagonal. However, they are actually heptagonal, with seven sides. Perhaps this is because she does not truly belong within this reality and that she is mimicking it, with fault. Or it may be that this is another indicator of her being an ally, that the number six is now a bad omen for Wanda and subconsciously she can feel it.
So, whether Wanda is indeed controlling this reality, or if it is a third party, there is something sinister forming behind these hexagons. Only time will tell who's really behind them, and their real meaning.
